Dear Songwriter,

The entry deadline for the UK Songwriting Contest is midnight 30th September. Many of you have already entered your songs, but if you haven't entered a song yet, or you want to enter more songs, you still have time to submit.

The 2015 UK Songwriting Contest is an opportunity to showcase your work to the music industry in London, UK, and to have your songs examined and marked by experts. Entry forms are at the official contest website at http://www.songwritingcontest.co.uk

Songwriters from every country can participate and everyone who enters this respected international contest is told the judges score for each song and gets an official UKSC Certificate with details of their song's achievements and placements. There are also valuable guaranteed gifts and prizes worth many times the entry fee for everyone who enters. In the words of Channel 4 Television: "The UK Songwriting Contest does what it says on the tin! This is a real chance for new songwriters to break into the music business".

THE EPPS MUSIC PRODUCTIONS PRIZE
UKSC judge and legendary british producer Stuart Epps has agreed to work with this year's UK Songwriting Contest winner!  Stuart has worked with some of the world's greatest songwriters including Elton John, Oasis, Robbie Williams and George Harrison and this year we are pleased to announce that in 2015 one UKSC entrant will be chosen to work with Stuart as part of the Epps Music Productions stable of songwriters and artists. Stuart has made a short video where he talks about the UKSC and about songwriting and he describes how he has learned to spot a good song after years of working with some of the best in the business - watch it at https://youtu.be/b5irwYMSrso

OTHER PRIZES
Other prizes include a personal coaching session with the hugely successful multi platinum songwriter Shelly Peiken. Songwriting Magazine have written a feature article about Shelly's involvement with the UKSC this year: Read the article Here. There are also personally signed copies of UKSC judge Richard Niles' new book The Invisible Artist, The Mozart Software Awards, song copyright registrations at the SCO, Guild of International Songwriters and Composers memberships, songwriting courses and so much more. There is something for everyone who enters, not just for the winners. Check out the full details on the contest website.

JUDGES
Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning judges include multi platinum hit songwriter Shelly Peiken (two number ones for Christina Aguilera among other hits), composer and Grammy and Emmy winner Kipper Eldridge (who is also well known in the music business as Sting's producer), legendary producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Robbie Williams, Oasis), the top producer and arranger Richard Niles (Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Mariah Carey), CMA Award winning country star Lucie Diamond and TV and Film composer Jamie Sefari (see the video link below), chart topping number one hit songwriter Mark Cawley and UKSC winner and Platinum Album artist Natalie Chua (signed by Simon Cowell after winning the UKSC).

VIDEO TIPS
Last year two of the UKSC judges made an interesting video talking about the contest and it is worth watching again this year as everything they say is still just as valid. In this video Lucie Diamond and her judging partner Jamie Serafi talk about what it is like to be a UK Songwriting Contest judge. They also talk about the songs people enter in the contest and give some tips... Lucie is a CMA award winning country artist and songwriter and Jamie is a successful Film and TV composer. The video is at http://youtu.be/xWSOsUuSZ1U
