SONGWRITERS: LAST WEEK TO SUBMIT SONGS

Songwriters from any country can enter songs in this respected international songwriting event. Visit the contest website at www.songwritingcontest.co.uk to enter. Dear Songwriter,

This is to remind you that the entry deadline for The UK Songwriting Contest 2015 is midnight 30th September. So if you haven't entered yet, or you want to enter more songs, don't forget that there are now less than two weeks left to submit your songs to this year's event.

The 2015 UK Songwriting Contest is a unique opportunity to showcase your work to the music industry in London, UK, and to have your songs examined and marked by experts. It doesn't matter where you live or if you are an experienced songwriter or a complete beginner - everyone has the same chance to have their work examined by professionals and to be discovered by top names in the music industry. Entry forms are at the official contest website at www.songwritingcontest.co.uk

Songwriters from every country can participate and everyone who enters is told the judges score for each song and gets an official UKSC Certificate with details of their song's achievements and placements. There are also valuable guaranteed gifts and prizes, worth many times the entry fee, for everyone who enters. In the words of Channel 4 Television: "The UK Songwriting Contest does what it says on the tin! This is a real chance for new songwriters to break into the music business".

THE EPPS MUSIC PRODUCTIONS PRIZE
UKSC judge and top music producer Stuart Epps has agreed to work with this year's UK Songwriting Contest winner! Stuart has worked with some of the world's greatest songwriters including Elton John, Oasis, Robbie Williams and George Harrison. This is a unique opportunitty to work with Stuart as part of the Epps Music Productions stable of songwriters and artists.

OTHER PRIZES
Other prizes include a personal coaching with multi platinum songwriter Shelly Peiken. Songwriting Magazine have written a feature article about Shelly's involvement with the UKSC this year: Read the article Here. There are also personally signed copies of UKSC judge Richard Niles' new book The Invisible Artist, The UKSC Mozart Software Awards, song copyright registrations at the SCO, Guild of International Songwriters and Composers memberships, songwriting courses for everyone and so much more. JUDGES
The top internationally famous Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning UKSC judges include multi platinum hit songwriter Shelly Peiken (two number ones for Christina Aguilera among other hits), composer and two times Grammy and Emmy winner Kipper Eldridge (also well known in the music business as Sting's producer), legendary producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Robbie Williams, Oasis), the top producer and arranger Richard Niles (Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Mariah Carey), CMA Award winning country star Lucie Diamond and TV and Film composer Jamie Sefari (see the video link below), chart topping number one hit songwriter Mark Cawley and UKSC winner and Platinum Album artist Natalie Chua (signed by Simon Cowell after winning the UKSC).

VIDEO TIPS
Last year two of the UKSC judges made an interesting video talking about the contest and it is worth watching again this year as everything they say is still just as valid. In this video Lucie Diamond and her judging partner Jamie Serafi talk about what it is like to be a UK Songwriting Contest judge. They also talk about the songs people enter in the contest and give some tips... Lucie is a CMA award winning country artist and songwriter and Jamie is a successful Film and TV composer. The UKSC on Facebook - are you involved?

This a post to remind everyone that there is a lot of UKSC activity taking place on Facebook during the 2015 contest. There is an official UKSC Facebook Page and also a Facebook UKSC Community Group.

FACEBOOK PAGE
Get the latest contest news from contestants and see the media coverage that many contestants have been receiving. You can also comment on the posts there or make your own posts.  The Page is at www.facebook.com/uksongwritingcontest 
Make sure you click on "Like" and also choose "Get Notifications" (from the drop down menu under "Like") to make sure you see the latest news and posts.

COMMUNITY GROUP
In the UKSC Facebook Community Group songwriters can interact with each other, collaborate, ask questions and get opinions on their UKSC song entries from other songwriters. This is a very useful, friendly and helpful group.
