2015 SESSION ONE DEADLINE 30 JUNE
The deadline for entering songs in this first session of the UKSC 2015 is 30 June. After that date all songs entered will go into the second session. So if you are planning to enter songs and you would like to have early results (Semi Finalist positions will be announced at the end of July) you need to enter them on or before 30 June.

Last year many semi finalists from the first session had excellent early media coverage that continued all through the second session until the end of the contest. (Search Google for some of these stories). This provided good publicity for a number of songs and writers with the media watching out to see if these songs and writers eventually made it to the finals or became winners. If you want maximum exposure for your work and your songs this is a very good way to get it. If you make it through you can also post on Facebook and Twitter etc that your song is in the Semi Finals and has a chance to win one of the major prizes such as working with producer Stuart Epps (see below).

JUDGES AND PRIZES UPDATE
The judges this year are outsanding Grammy, BRIT and Platinum and Gold Album Award winning songwriters and producers. They have worked closely with the likes of Elton John, Christina Aguilera, Paul McCartney, Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Jessie J, Britney Spears, Paul Weller, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, Take That, Robbie Williams, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and many more big name artists. These people are very successful top music industry professionals who really do know a good song when they hear one. Sometimes judges develop a working relationship with entrants whose work they particularly like and have gone on to produce or co write with them. And this year one of the top judges, Stuart Epps, has agreed to select one entrant to work with as part of his Epps Music Productions stable of songwriters and artists!

The exact judges score for every song entered will be given to entrants at the end of the contest. And UKSC Certificates with the song and songwriter's details and the position reached in the contest will also be available at that time. For full details of this and full details of all the great prizes on offer this year visit the official UKSC website at www.songwritingcontest.co.uk

As an early Session One entrant you will know very soon if your song has made it through to the Semi Finals or not.

We wish you every success with your songwriting now and in the future,
Best wishes from the UKSC Team
