Your last chance to submit songs!
The International UK Songwriting Contest 2020 closes for entries at the end of this month on November 30. This is your last chance to submit songs this year. The final deadline is midnight on Monday 30th. ARE YOU A FINALIST? Within days of submitting your song you will know if you are in the Semi Finals. And very soon after this, during December, we will tell you if your song is in the Finals and competing for a Winner position in the 2020 event. This will be an exciting month, as Finalists are announced and winners selected. And there will be Live updates in your song dashboard. NEW OPPORTUNITIES There are many new opportunities to get involved as a songwriter this year. The new Collaboration Section offers the chance for musicians and lyricists to join up and co-write songs, you can write the melody or the lyrics, and we will match you up with a partner. The Songwriting Challenge asks you to create new lyrics or new melody for Paul McCartney´s Yesterday, the Crisis Songs Category is for topical songs about the pandemic or climate or political crises, Work In Progress is for unfinished songs. There is a new Unplugged category and many different genre categories. Something for everyone! Full details are on the contest website. So... get your songs to us before Midnight on Monday 30 November. We look forward to receiving them. The judges are ready and waiting to select the Finalist and Winners for this year. Very Best Wishes, UKSC songwritingcontest.co.uk

Go to the Dashboard and look for the Login Page, enter the name and password and you should then see your entry!

I cannot login on my dashboard anymore! My acces to this site has been limited by the owner! What can I do to see my results? It says I've been blockes because I exceeded the maximum number of page requests per minute for humans! What is that? I did not do anything unusual! Can you help me please? The message is from Wordfence

This is very discouraging. It is now 15th December and there have been no updates to the site or my dashboard, so I have no clue as to what is happening. It was stated that there would be news in early December. There do not seem to be any contact details on the site, either email or phone, to enable a direct enquiry. Having submitted quite a number of entries and spent a fair amount, ir worries me that things are not progressing in a proper and timely manner, whatever the results may be.

My song "Que Dure una vida" is a Finalist in the 2020 uksc. It didn't win but I've noticed that a German Global Superstar CLAUDIA HIRSCHFELD has won with her song "LUCIANO" ( this already being sung by another Artist from 2017) This is surprising in the fact she has prevented an up and coming songwriter from getting exposure. She doesn't need it. This only proves one thing and that is this is a FAKE competition. This UKSC should have two separate Catergories PROFESSIONAL and AMATEUR. Why was she allowed to enter this?

Hi Pete, There are always winners and losers! While I agree with the amateur v professional status it can be a fine line. Is she a signed artist, does she make a living from songwriting etc. I would not classify this site as fake necessarily but a money spinning venture with many songwriters paying to enter in the hope of winning or some some exposure to their songs! I doubt I will enter again!

Thank you David for your reply. Claudia Hirschfeld IS a Professional signed Musician. She is known as the Prima Ballerina of the organ. She has been performing and earning as a professional since the age of 18. She has performed all over European cities, America, Asia and the Arabian Peninsula. Her credits go on and on. Her winning song LUCIANO is being sold as written by Claudio and performed by the SPANISH Tenor Oscar Marin with the Sofia Session Orchestra and Choir on CD Single since 2017. Go check out her website at claudia-hirschfeld.com Entries like hers and I dare say there's many more who shouldn't be permitted to enter such competitions. Somebody should inform the organisers. I rest my case.
